Make perfect flapjacks every time with Lyle’s Golden Syrup. Soft, chewy, and absolutely golden. These flapjacks are easy to bake and even easier to love. Slice them up for a treat everyone will enjoy.
200g Unsalted Butter, softened
175g Lyle’s Golden Syrup
400g Rolled Porridge Oats
Pinch of Salt
150g Tate & Lyle Light Soft Brown Sugar
Preheat the oven to 180°C or 160° fan.
In a large non-stick saucepan combine the butter, golden syrup and light soft brown sugar. Heat gently until melted, remove from the heat and stir in the oats and salt.
Spoon the mixture into a 20cm shallow loose-bottomed square baking tin, greased and lined with baking paper. Level using a palette knife.
Make for 25 mins until golden brown.
Remove and let cool for 30 mins before removing from the tin. Let cool completely on a wire wrack before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
