T&L Sugars Limited – UK Prize Draw Competition Standard Terms and Conditions
The promoter is T&L Sugars Limited, of Thames Refinery, Factory Road, Silvertown, London, E16 2EW, England, company registration number 07318607.
2.1 The title of the competition is Win a Home Barista Kit 2025.
2.2 To enter the draw, entrants must visit sugarandsyrup.com prize draw web page, answer the question correctly and provide their full name and email address. By answering the quiz question correctly, the entrant will automatically enter the draw for a chance to win one of the 5 prizes.
3.1 The competition will run from 9:00 am GMT on 22nd of July 2025 (the "Opening Date") to 12:00 pm GMT on 3rd of September 2025 (the "Closing Date") inclusive.
3.2 All competition entries must be received by the T&L Sugars Limited on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
(a) entrants must visit the prize draw web page https://sugarandsyrup.com/pages/home-barista-kit-prize-draw
(b) answer the quiz question correctly.
(c) all entries must be made directly by the individual entering the competition.
3.4 T&L Sugars Limited will not accept:
(a) responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
(b) proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
3.5 By entering the competition, participants agree to the terms and conditions of the competition, the terms of our Privacy Policy located here, and participants will only be contacted by T&L Sugars Limited if they consent or opt in to electronic mail marketing. Owing to exceptional circumstances outside its’ control and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, T&L Sugars Limited reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition or these terms and conditions at any stage but will always endeavour to minimize the effect on participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
3.6 The prize of the competition will be drawn at random from all complete entries within seven working days of the Closing Date 3rd of September 2025 by Random.org.
4.1 The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over and are resident of the United Kingdom, except:
(a) employees of the T&L Sugars Limited or its holding or subsidiary companies;
(b) employees of agents or suppliers of T&L Sugars Limited or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
(c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
4.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize you may win. T&L Sugars Limited may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
4.3 T&L Sugars Limited will not accept competition entries that are:
(a) automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);
(b) completed by third parties or in bulk;
(c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
(d) photocopies and not originals; or
4.4 There is a limit of one entry to the competition per person or per household.
4.5 T&L Sugars Limited reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
5.1 The Prize Draw has the following prize (hereinafter the "Prize"):
X1 - Selection of Tate & Lyle Beverage Syrups, a case of Lyle’s Golden Syrup flapjacks and a L’Or Coffee Machine and 100 coffee pods of a value of £120.
5.2 One winner will be selected at random.
5.3 The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or other cash prizes.
5.4 The prize is subject to availability and in the event that the prizes offered are unavailable due to circumstances beyond T&L Sugars Limited’s control, T&L Sugars Limited reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal value.
5.5 In order to claim the prize, you must answer our email and confirm your full name and postal address.
6.1 The decision of T&L Sugars Limited OR the independent auditor nominated by T&L Sugars Limited is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered.
6.2 T&L Sugars Limited will contact the winner personally via email.
6.3 T&L Sugars Limited will either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation T&L Sugars Limited will publish the surname and county of major prize winner and, if applicable, their winning entry in www.sugarandsyrup.com on 5th of September 2025 (Announcement Date).
6.4 If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the T&L Sugars Limited. In such circumstances, T&L Sugars Limited must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
7.1 The winner will need to follow the instructions in the notification message to reply with any required information, such as their full name and postal address. T&L Sugars Limited must have received all the required information within two (2) days of first notification.
7.2 The prize will be dispatched within three (3) of days from the date of T&L Sugars Limited verifying the winner and receiving the winner’s prize acceptance and required information.
7.3 The prize can only be sent to the contact details provided by the winner. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
7.4 T&L Sugars Limited will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available or has not claimed their prize within TWO of days of the Announcement Date, T&L Sugars Limited reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
7.5 T&L Sugars Limited does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
To the fullest extent possible in law, T&L Sugars Limited do not accept liability for any losses or claims whatsoever arising out of participation in the Prize Draw and the acceptance of any prize.
9. Data protection and publicity
9.1 T&L Sugars Limited will only process your personal information as set out in condition 6.3 and 6.4 with relation to our Privacy Policy (Privacy Policy | Tate & Lyle Sugars (tateandlylesugars.com)).
10.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, T&L Sugars Limited may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
10.2 T&L Sugars Limited reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
10.3 The competition is governed by the law of England and Wales and the Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
