Description

Whitworths Preserving Sugar is perfect for creating homemade marmalades, jams and preserves. As opposed to jam sugar, our Preserving Sugar is to be used with fruits which are high in pectin to make delicious preserves with Seville oranges, plums, gooseberries and more. The large sugar crystals dissolve slowly while cooking improving the texture of your preserves, while reducing the need for stirring and preventing burning at the bottom of the pan.

To be used with fruits naturally high in pectin – oranges, plums, blackcurrants and gooseberries etc. Ideal to make marmalades, jams and preserves.

The Perfect Set Point:

Place a little of the jam onto a cold saucer and allow to cool. Push a finger gently through the jam and if the surface wrinkles the setting point has been reached.
